About the show

The Washington State Evergreen Spring RV Show is a three-day, multi-dealer RV show held each spring at the Evergreen State Fairgrounds in Monroe, in east Snohomish County. The 2027 show, set for April 2 to 4, is billed as the 44th, and the show dates back to 1983. Westlake Promotion produces it, along with a fall RV show on the same grounds.

What to expect

The show fills three full buildings and more than 250,000 square feet with RVs both new and used, from fifth wheels and toy haulers to motorhomes, truck campers and travel trailers. It bills itself as the only multi-dealer RV show in Snohomish County. Dealers listed on the official page include Tacoma RV, Open Road RV Center, Speedway RV Center, Maple Grove RV, Ryan's RV Town, Fife RV Center, Poulsbo RV and Clearview RV, which draws stock from across the Puget Sound region. Accessory and service vendors, such as battery and solar installers and extended warranty sellers, have also set up booths at past shows.

Why go

An early April date catches buyers who want a new rig in hand for the first warm weekends. Comparing several dealers' floor plans in one place, with show pricing, saves a lot of driving between lots from Tacoma to the Canadian border.

Before you go

Parking is free and one paid admission covers all three days. Admission is cash only, with a fee-based ATM on site. The show's website offers a discount sign-up that emails a ticket link a couple of weeks ahead. The fairgrounds also runs a public RV park, which reopens for the season on April 1, so you can bring your own rig and stay on the grounds.

Getting there and big-rig parking

RV parking on site. Evergreen State Fairgrounds, 14405 179th Ave. SE, Monroe, WA 98272.

Confirmed on the show page: parking is free. Confirmed on the fairgrounds' RV park page: RV-2, on the east side of the grounds at 18465 Cascade View Drive, is open by reservation for self-contained RVs from April 1, which covers the show dates. It has 117 sites that fit rigs up to 42 feet, 24 pull-through sites, water and 30-amp power, and a dump station. Off-season rates are $42 a night with hookups and $35 without, check-in is at noon, stays are capped at 7 nights a month, and the sites are on gravel. Reservations go through Snohomish County Parks or by phone at 425-388-6600.

Not published: where day visitors should park a motorhome or a truck and fifth wheel, and which gate to use.

Suggestion, not confirmed: a 40 foot motorhome or a truck and fifth wheel is easiest to handle by reserving a pull-through site in RV-2 and walking to the buildings. Day visitors with a big rig should arrive near the 10 a.m. opening and ask the parking crew for space suited to long vehicles. If RV-2 is full, the RV parks in Monroe and Sultan along US 2 are the closest fallback.

Around Monroe

Monroe sits where the Skykomish and Snoqualmie rivers meet, at the foot of the Cascades on US 2, so an April visit pairs well with a short trip into the foothills.

Wallace Falls State Park in Gold Bar, about 13 miles east on US 2, has a popular trail up to a series of waterfalls that run strong with spring snowmelt. The parking lot is small and fills on weekends, so leave the trailer behind. Farther east, the Stevens Pass Highway follows the Skykomish River past small towns, with pullouts for views of the river and peaks.

Closer in, historic downtown Snohomish, about 10 miles west, is known for antique shops and cafes along First Street and a riverside walk. South on State Route 522, Woodinville has dozens of wineries and tasting rooms, about 15 miles away. Monroe itself has a small downtown along Main Street with places to eat after the show closes.

For birders, the Skykomish and Snoqualmie river valleys around Monroe draw waterfowl and raptors in early spring. Rain is common in April, so pack waterproof boots for trails and riverside walks.

Tips for visiting

  • Book an RV-2 site at the fairgrounds early through Snohomish County Parks; it holds rigs up to 42 feet and has 24 pull-through sites.
  • Bring cash for admission. Parking is free, but the gate does not take cards and the ATM charges a fee.
  • Use your multi-day admission: walk all three buildings on Friday, then come back on Sunday when dealers are keen to close deals.
  • Check pass conditions before heading east on US 2 after the show, since Stevens Pass can still have snow in early April.
  • Fill your fresh tank before you arrive if you plan to stay, and use the dump station at RV-2 on your way out.
