Privacy Policy

The short version

This website exists to tell you about RV Compass, built in Boerne, Texas. This website doesn't ask you for personal information. Before launch, it had a waitlist form, and that waitlist is now closed. Your RV Compass account, on the web or in the iPhone app, is covered by the app's own privacy policy at travel.rvcompass.app/privacy. We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use the site (details below), and nothing else. No advertising trackers, and nothing gets sold to anyone. Transparency is a brand pillar for us, and that starts here.

What we collect

• Waitlist email (closed). Before launch, this site had a "notify me at launch" form. If you used it, we have the email address you gave us, with a timestamp. The waitlist is closed, and this site no longer collects email addresses.
• Usage analytics. Google Analytics tells us things like which pages are visited, roughly where visitors are located, and what devices and browsers they use. It uses cookies to recognize returning visitors.
• Standard server logs. Like nearly every website, our hosting infrastructure may record technical request data (such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested) for security and operations.

That's the whole list. We don't buy, sell, or trade personal information.

How we use it

Before launch, we used waitlist emails to send early-access invites. We also use them to send the one launch email we promised, telling you RV Compass is live. We said one email, and we meant it. After that, we won't use your waitlist email for marketing, and we'll only send more (for example, occasional product updates) if you've opted in to more. Server logs are used only to keep the site running and secure.

Where it lives, and who else is involved

A few service providers process data on our behalf:

• Amazon Web Services hosts this website. Fonts and all page assets are served from our own hosting — no third-party font or CDN requests.
• Google provides our analytics (Google Analytics).

Each provider processes this data under its own privacy terms. None of them get your email for their own use.

Analytics & cookies

Google Analytics is the only thing on this site that sets cookies, and it's here so we can tell whether the site is doing its job — not to follow you around the internet. If you'd rather not be counted, blocking cookies for this site or using Google's opt-out browser add-on works fine — the site doesn't change or nag either way.

Your choices

Want your waitlist email deleted, or want to know what we have about you? Email hello@rvcompass.app and we'll take care of it. Removal included, no hoops.

Children

This site isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has submitted an email address, contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

If our practices change, we'll update this page and its effective date. Material changes will be called out plainly, not buried.
