About the show

The Topeka Boat, RV & Outdoor Show brings boats, campers and outdoor exhibitors together under one roof at the Stormont Vail Events Center, the county event campus on the south side of Topeka. RJ Promotions, which runs consumer shows in Kansas and Missouri, produces it. The 2027 edition runs Friday, February 19 through Sunday, February 21.

A combined show for 2027

In 2026 RJ Promotions ran a boat, fishing and hunting show in Topeka in February and a separate RV and outdoor show in March. For 2027 the producer lists a single combined event in February, with Midwest Marine Boats named in the show branding as the title sponsor. Expect boats to take a large share of the floor, with RV dealers, campgrounds and outdoor gear sellers alongside them. How many RVs make it onto the floor depends on which dealers sign up, so check the exhibitor news closer to the date if you are shopping for a camper.

Hours and planning

Friday opens in the early afternoon, Saturday runs the longest, and Sunday wraps up in the late afternoon. As of late October 2026 the show page did not yet list admission prices, so check the official page or the show's Facebook page in the weeks before the show. RVers have one advantage here: the event campus has its own RV hookups and a dump station, which most indoor shows cannot offer.

Getting there and big-rig parking

RV parking on site. Stormont Vail Events Center, One Expocentre Drive, Topeka, KS 66612.

Confirmed on the venue's campus map and RV parking page: the events center has on-site RV spots with water and electric hookups and a dump station. For most events they are first come, first served, at $35 for a 30 amp hookup and $50 for 50 amp, paid at the security office on the west side of Landon Arena, between the arena and the Domer livestock building. Security is on site around the clock. The page does not say whether this show allows RV parking or how many spots there are.

Suggestion, not confirmed: call the venue's administrative office before the show to check that hookups are open that weekend. A 40 foot motorhome or a truck and fifth wheel should arrive in daylight and check in at the security office before picking a spot. If the hookups are full, a campground on the south side of Topeka is a short drive away.

Around Topeka

Topeka is the Kansas state capital, and the domed Capitol building downtown, about a mile north of the events center, offers free tours, including a climb up to the dome on many days. A short drive from there, the Brown v. Board of Education National Historical Park tells the story of the 1954 school desegregation case in the restored Monroe Elementary School.

The Kansas Museum of History, on the west edge of town, covers the state from early peoples through the cattle drives and railroads. Gage Park, on the west side, holds the Topeka Zoo and a restored carousel. For aircraft fans, the Combat Air Museum at Forbes Field south of town has military planes and hangar exhibits.

Lake Shawnee, a few miles east of the events center, has a paved trail around the water that suits a winter walk with the dog when the weather is calm. NOTO, the arts district on North Kansas Avenue, has galleries and small shops for a slow afternoon. Check winter hours for each stop, since some keep shorter schedules in February.

Tips for visiting

  • Call the events center ahead to confirm RV hookups are open during this show, since the venue says spots are first come, first served for most events.
  • Bring cash or a card for the hookup fee and an adapter if your rig needs one; the venue says it sells adapters on site.
  • February nights in Topeka often drop well below freezing, so keep the fresh water hose disconnected overnight or use a heated hose.
  • If you are shopping for an RV rather than a boat, ask the producer which RV dealers are coming before you make the drive.
