About the show
The Red River Valley Sportsmen's Boat, Camping & Vacation Show is produced by Cenaiko Productions, a company that got its start in the 1960s with a small sportsmen's show in Fargo. The 62nd edition fills the Fargodome from Thursday evening, March 4 through Sunday, March 7, 2027, and it pulls visitors from North Dakota and northern Minnesota.
RVs and camping gear
Campers are a large part of the floor. The official site promises show pricing on campers and trailers and lists motorhomes, travel trailers, fifth wheels, truck campers, tent trailers and conversion vans. Dealers on the 2026 exhibitor list included Wold's RV Sales, Adventure RV Sales, Roth RV & Marine and Steinbring Motorcoach, several with large blocks of floor space.
Beyond the campers
Boat dealers show pontoons and fishing boats, and the travel section is full of Canadian and Midwest fishing lodges, fly-in outposts, hunting outfitters and resorts. Families can fish a stocked trout pond, and past shows have added a comedy stunt act, raptor programs and walleye seminars. The 2027 program is not posted yet; the site still shows last year's speakers.
Cenaiko also runs a separate boat and marine show at the Fargodome in late January, so this March show is the one to circle if campers are your main interest.
Weather
Typical weather in March
- Average high
- 36.3°F
- Average low
- 18.1°F
- Precipitation
- 1.25 in
- Snow
- 9.2 in
Nights in March usually drop below freezing here. If you camp, protect your fresh water hose and tanks, and bring layers for early mornings in the RV lot. Snow is common, so check road conditions before you drive the rig in.
Typical weather: NOAA 1991 to 2020 climate normals, measured at FARGO HECTOR INTL AP, ND US, 1.6 miles from the venue.
Getting there and big-rig parking
RV parking not confirmed. Fargodome, 1800 North University Drive, Fargo, ND 58102.
Confirmed on the Fargodome's directions and parking page: the lots usually open about two hours before an event, parking fees vary by event, buses and limos park in Lot E, and every lot closes no later than an hour after the event ends, so there is no overnight parking. For NDSU football tailgating the venue sells motor homes and trailer rigs 2 to 5 spaces each, which shows the lots can take long vehicles, but that rule is for game days only. The dome is about half a mile from Hector International Airport and a few minutes from where Interstates 94 and 29 meet.
Suggestions, not confirmed: ask the Fargodome whether a 40 foot motorhome or a truck and fifth wheel can use Lot E or buy extra spaces during the show. If not, park the rig at a campground and drive in. Buses and ride services load on the west side along Albrecht Boulevard, so avoid that lane when arriving with a trailer.

The Red River Zoo on the south side stays open year round and features animals suited to cold climates.
Tips for visiting
- Thursday is an evening-only opening from 5 to 9 pm; Friday and Saturday give you the most time on the floor.
- A $20 wristband covers all four days, handy if you want a second look at a fifth wheel before you sign.
- Fargodome lots close within an hour after an event ends, so do not plan to sleep in the lot.
- Early March in Fargo averages highs in the mid 30s and about 9 inches of snow for the month; check the forecast before towing and keep the furnace and tank heaters on overnight.
