About the show

The Phoenix RV Supershow brings Phoenix-area RV dealers to the grounds of Phoenix Raceway in Avondale for one weekend each winter. The 2027 edition runs Friday, February 5 through Sunday, February 7, and the gates are open from 9 in the morning until 5 in the afternoon on all three days.

The show's floor plan spreads the dealer displays across the raceway property beside the grandstand, so shoppers walk from one dealer's lot to the next. Expect new travel trailers, fifth wheels, toy haulers and motorhomes from more than a dozen dealers, plus a separate area for pre-owned demo motorhomes and a row of booths for parts, accessories and services.

What to expect

The producer runs the same lineup of extras at each of its shows. There are daily seminars on buying and using an RV, a hands-on towing course taught by certified technicians, a stunt dog performance, a Spider-Man meet and greet for younger visitors, and a free coloring book handed out at the concession area. Each ticket also includes a six-month trial of The Dyrt PRO camping app.

Tickets and parking

Admission is sold online for $12, fees included, and kids 16 and under are admitted free. If you buy an RV from one of the exhibiting dealers during the show, that dealer takes the cost of your ticket off the deal. Parking at the raceway is free for show visitors.

Getting there and big-rig parking

RV parking not confirmed. Phoenix Raceway, Jimmie Johnson Dr, Avondale, AZ.

Confirmed on the show page: parking is free. The show's floor plan marks a large parking area southwest of the main entrance and ticket booth, near Gate 3, with disability parking along the west side of the display area. Neither the show page nor the floor plan says whether oversized vehicles have their own area, which entrance they should use, or whether overnight parking is allowed. The raceway's own website could not be checked.

Suggestion, not confirmed: a raceway lot built for race-weekend crowds usually has generous turning room, but that is general knowledge, not a promise from the show. A 40 foot motorhome or a truck and fifth wheel will have the easiest time arriving near the 9 a.m. opening on Friday and asking parking staff where long rigs belong. If the lot looks tight, leave the rig at an RV resort in Goodyear or Buckeye and come back in the tow car or the truck alone.

Around Avondale

Avondale sits on the west side of the Phoenix metro, and early February is one of the most pleasant times of year to be outdoors here.

Parks and trails

Estrella Mountain Regional Park in Goodyear is a short drive from the raceway, with desert hiking and riding trails and wide views back across the valley. White Tank Mountain Regional Park, northwest of Goodyear, has longer trails, a campground and a seasonal waterfall that is most likely to be running after winter rain.

Animals and gardens

Wildlife World Zoo in Litchfield Park makes an easy family outing, with an aquarium alongside its animal exhibits. Closer to central Phoenix, the Desert Botanical Garden in Papago Park is worth an afternoon for anyone new to Sonoran Desert plants.

Getting around

Interstate 10 is the main link between the west valley and downtown Phoenix, and weekday rush hours can be slow on that stretch, so a midday trip into the city in a tow car is easier. Spring training baseball starts in the area later in February, which brings extra traffic and fuller RV parks toward the end of the month.

Tips for visiting

  • Buy tickets online before you leave home, since the show page lists admission as online only.
  • The dealer lots are spread over the raceway grounds, so wear walking shoes and bring water and sun protection even in February.
  • In a big rig, arrive close to the 9 a.m. opening on Friday, when the parking area is emptiest, and find a staff member before you pull into a row.
  • Sit in on the towing course or a seminar early in the day, before the afternoon crowd builds.
  • Take a photo of your tow vehicle's door sticker so you can check ratings before you fall for a heavy fifth wheel.
