About the show

The Nebraska Boat, Sport & Travel Show fills the Sandhills Global Event Center in northeast Lincoln for one weekend each winter. The 2027 show is the 58th edition, and it runs Friday through Sunday, February 5 to 7. The producer, Lincoln-based Egan Enterprises, draws visitors from across Nebraska as well as northern Kansas and western Iowa.

What you will find

This is a sportsmen's show first, but campers are a real part of it. The 2027 brochure bills the event as a showcase of RVs along with boats, fishing tackle, recreation and travel, and the 2026 exhibitor list included Bish's RV Lincoln, Leach Camper Sales and Rich & Sons RV Headquarters. Expect towables and other units from those dealers alongside pontoons, fishing boats, docks and lifts, golf cars, guide services, lodges and tourism bureaus. Campgrounds have exhibited too, so it is a good place to line up summer reservations.

The displays spread across two pavilions with more than 150,000 square feet on a single level, which makes for easy walking. Parking on the grounds is free, and the venue sits a short drive from Interstate 80.

Before you go

The exhibitor list on the show site still shows the 2026 lineup and is due for an update early in 2027, so check it again close to the show if you are hoping to see a particular RV brand or dealer.

Nights in February usually drop below freezing here. If you camp, protect your fresh water hose and tanks, and bring layers for early mornings in the RV lot.

Typical weather: NOAA 1991 to 2020 climate normals, measured at LINCOLN 8 ENE, NE US, 1.8 miles from the venue.

Getting there and big-rig parking

RV parking on site. Sandhills Global Event Center, 4100 North 84th Street, Lincoln, NE 68507.

Confirmed on the event center's parking and directions page: the grounds have RV and oversized vehicle parking, and rigs pulling trailers or campers should use the second driveway off Havelock Avenue. From Interstate 80, take exit 409 for US 6 toward Waverly, head west on Cornhusker Highway for 2.7 miles, turn south on North 84th Street for 1.7 miles, then turn left onto Havelock Avenue. The show's own site says parking is free and on site.

Not confirmed: whether you can stay overnight in the lot during the show. The event center has a camping page, but it could not be read for this record, so ask the venue before planning to sleep on the grounds. As a suggestion, a 40 foot motorhome or a truck and fifth wheel will find the most room by arriving near the noon opening on Friday or early on Saturday morning, before the lots fill. If the oversized area is full, ask a parking attendant where to go rather than squeezing into car rows.

Around Lincoln

Lincoln is Nebraska's capital and a college town, and its main sights work well for a winter visit since most of them are indoors.

In town

  • The Nebraska State Capitol, with its tall central tower, offers free guided tours and an observation deck.
  • The Historic Haymarket district downtown has restaurants, coffee and brick warehouse streets, though parking there is tight for anything longer than a pickup.
  • Speedway Motors Museum of American Speed holds a large collection of race cars, engines and old pedal cars.
  • Morrill Hall on the university campus is the state natural history museum, known for its mammoth fossils, and it has a planetarium.

A short drive away

The Strategic Air Command and Aerospace Museum near Ashland, roughly 25 miles northeast along Interstate 80 toward Omaha, displays aircraft and missiles indoors and has a parking lot that suits larger vehicles. Pawnee and Branched Oak lakes northwest of the city are popular in warmer months, but in February expect ice fishing rather than camping, with limited services.

Tips for visiting

  • Trailers and campers enter the grounds by the second driveway off Havelock Avenue, not the first.
  • Veterans get in free on Friday, and a can of food for the Lincoln food bank takes $2 off one adult ticket on Friday or Sunday.
  • Sunday closes at 4 in the afternoon, earlier than the other days, so leave enough time to see the RV dealers before then.
  • February nights in Lincoln regularly fall well below freezing; if you bring a camper, winterize it or keep the furnace and tank heaters running.
  • Bring your service and storage questions to the RV dealers on the floor while they are all in one building.
