About the show
The Colorado Springs RV & Travel Show is a dealer-driven RV sale held at the Colorado Springs Event Center on the east side of the city. It is produced by RJ Promotions, a Missouri company that runs boat, RV and outdoor shows across the Midwest and has staged several events at this venue.
The most recent edition ran Thursday through Saturday, April 9 to 11, 2026. The producer's banner for that show leaned hard on discounts, so the focus is on new and used units for sale rather than seminars or entertainment. The producer does not publish an exhibitor list, but shows of this kind usually bring travel trailers, fifth wheels and motorhomes from regional dealers.
The 2027 show
The 2027 edition is set for Thursday through Saturday, April 1 to 3, at the same venue. Daily hours and admission prices had not been posted at the time of writing, so check the producer's show page for them before you go.
Why it suits RVers
Spring is when many Colorado buyers start shopping for the camping season, and a show this close to Pikes Peak, Garden of the Gods and the high country makes it easy to pair a look at new rigs with a few days of camping. The producer offers admission coupons by email for its Colorado Springs shows, so sign up on the show page if you plan to go.
Weather
Typical weather in April
- Average high
- 61°F
- Average low
- 34°F

April nights are cold here. Bring layers for the walk in from the RV lot, and top off propane before you leave home if you plan to camp. Snow is common, so check road conditions before you drive the rig in.
Typical weather: NOAA 1991 to 2020 climate normals, measured at COLORADO SPRINGS MUNI AP, CO US, 4.7 miles from the venue.
Getting there and big-rig parking
RV parking not confirmed. Colorado Springs Event Center, 3960 Palmer Park Blvd, Colorado Springs, CO 80909.
Nothing about RV parking is confirmed. The show page and the event center's own site give the address and contact details but say nothing about lot size, oversized vehicles, entrances or overnight stays.
Suggestion, not confirmed: the event center sits on Palmer Park Boulevard close to Academy Boulevard, a busy commercial area, so turning room with a 40 foot motorhome or a truck and fifth wheel may be tight at peak times. The simplest plan is to set up at an RV park such as Garden of the Gods RV Resort or the KOA in Fountain and drive the tow vehicle or toad to the show. If you do arrive in the rig, come at opening, ask staff where long vehicles may park, and do not count on staying overnight. Call the venue ahead of time if parking a big rig matters to your plans.

Around Colorado Springs
Colorado Springs is one of the best bases on the Front Range for an RV trip, and an April visit catches the parks before the summer crowds arrive.
Garden of the Gods, on the west side of town, has free entry, paved roads and short walks among red sandstone fins; parking areas inside the park are small, so visit in a car. Next door, Manitou Springs has a small historic downtown with mineral springs and cafes. The Pikes Peak Highway usually opens only partway in early spring, so check conditions, and leave the big rig in camp for the climb. The Cog Railway up Pikes Peak is another way to reach the summit without driving.
The U.S. Air Force Academy north of the city has a visitor center and the well-known Cadet Chapel, and the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo sits on the mountainside southwest of downtown. For a longer day trip, Cripple Creek and the Royal Gorge area are both within reach, though the mountain roads climb steeply.
On the east side, near the event center, Palmer Park offers trails with views of the peaks and room to walk a dog after a day on the show floor.
Tips for visiting
- Check the producer's show page for hours and admission before you travel; neither had been posted for 2027 at the time of writing.
- Join the producer's email list on the show page to get admission coupons for its Colorado Springs events.
- Plan to leave a long rig at your campground and drive a smaller vehicle to the show, since the venue publishes no rules for oversized parking.
- Spring weather along the Front Range swings quickly; carry layers and watch for late snow on Monument Hill if you are coming from Denver on I-25.
- Bring your truck's towing and payload numbers so you can rule out trailers that are too heavy before you fall for a floor plan.
